Sylvain Ruaud, R. 2003). Seedling 92/01. TB, 35" (90 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards golden chartreuse yellow; style arms mustard and mauve; falls golden chartreuse yellow, mauve flush below orange beard; slight sweet fragrance.

Hybridizer's Comment: I like "Beghina" very much. It's an italian variety hybridized by Gina Sgaravitti during the sixties, but never registered. It's color is grey with beige undertones. Crossed with 'Sky Hooks', I hoped for a grey variety with blue horns. The result is different, but nevertheless, this iris is a pleasant one. |

Commentaire de l'hybrideur: J'aime beaucoup "Beghina". C'est un iris italien crée par Gina Sgaravitti dans les années soixantes, mais qui n'a jamais été enregistré. C'est un gris sur fond beige. En le croisant avec 'Sky Hools', j'espérais obtenir un gris à éperons bleus. Le résultat est différent mais malgré tout très joli. |
