From AIS Bulletin #217 April 1975 Introducing KOALA (David Mohr '75). TB, 35", M. $25.00. Marks the dawning of the new age. The grace and beauty of the past combined with the progressive achievements of today to make this one a gem to the serious Iris grower. Wide, ruffled petals are held in virtually perfect symmetry. Domed, touching standards and semi-flaring falls add a final refinement to this ultimate in form. The flowers are cream with an intensification and more vivid tone in the beard and hafts. Thick, crisp flowers last for several days. The plant grows vigorously and increases at a rapid rate. Well-branched stalks carry numerous buds. (New Moon X Beaux Arts). Mohr Gardens. |
