From AIS Bulletin #129, April 1953. Introducing KOL NIDRE (David Lyon). $20.00. The color sweeps down the. fall petals from a deep dahlia purple to a deep plum purple in the center, with an aconite violet border about one half inch wide. The standards are medium violet. The hafts are brushed with a dark garnet brown. Lyon 1953.
From Lyon’s Irisland catalog, 1959: KOL NIDRE (Lyon '53) $3.50 The violet of the standards merge with the deep dahlia-purple and plum-purple of the falls which deepen in the tone around the edges, embellished by the dark garnet-brown on the hafts. Beautifully flaring flowers, fine branching. 34". LM. (Vice Regal X Down East).
