From Tell’s Gardens catalog, 1964: KRISTINA (M. Suiter '64) EM 31 in. (Sun Lakes x Silver Tower) Lovely wide medium blue that is rich and gives a very blue effect in the garden. The beard is blue-tipped. This ruffled beauty is a line-bred product of Purlssima breeding and is sure to make a name for itself as a parent for blues as well as whites and possibly blue amoenas, when crossed to them. $20.00
Jeff Bennett Facebook comment, May 2024: Here’s an online World’s first look at this iris you’ve never seen before. This hybridizer seems to have slipped under the radar introducing quite a few irises that never seemed to get photos to the AIS wiki. Blooming today as a rich violet blue. Beard is a light blue tipped in gold.
