From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: LA NEGRIFLOR (Crosby '57) E.M. 36 in. (Storm King x S. Mahogany) x Sable Night. A very dark blue black of large size, flaring form and heavy substance. The broad ruffled petals have a sooty overlay. Looks jet black even at a short distance. P. Firenze 1959. 5.00.
