From Melrose Gardens catalog, 1968: LA RASPA (Ben R. Hager '68) 38" Midseason to late (((Maytime x Lord Dongan)) x Broadway Star)) X seedling bicolor with tangerine bearded antecedents))). In Mexico there is a folk dance by this name and the pinky beige standards and swirling plush red falls of this iris will remind you of a young Senorita gracefully keeping step to music of guitars and laughter. A "different" bicolor with none of the greyed tones so often found in the Progenitor bicolors, this one is clear and clean and the red color in the falls is very red. Quality plant habits, stem and branching. $25.00 |
