From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1951: LADY DOZIER (Dr. Herbert L. Dozier). Midseason. (Ormohr x Brunhilde.) Praised wherever it has grown and bloomed. Wide, full heavy substanced flower of a rich cobalt or violet-blue self. Lady Dozier has inherited its beautiful form from the Oncocyclus speces, and yet has much of the charm and good quality of its parent Brunhilde. It is the finest Ormohr seedling we have ever grown. Sturdy stalks. Height 38 inches. Highly Commended 1949. $25.00. |
