'Licorice Stick' (Schreiner, R. 1960). Seedling# N 360-1. TB, 40" (102 cm), Early midseason bloom. Deep blue-black-violet self. (('Blue Glow' x 'Black Belle') x 'Storm Warning')) X (('Velvet Dusk' x 'Black Valor') x 'Storm Warning')). Schreiners 1961. High Commendation 1960; Honorable Mention 1962; Judges Choice 1962, 1963; Award of Merit 1964.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: LICORICE STICK (Schr. '61) M. 40 in. ((Blue Glow x Black Belle) x S. Warning) x ((Velvet Dusk x Black Valor) x Storm Warning). A fine new black. This one is a blue-black and a true self. Very glossy and rich. Its height adds to its show value. H.M. 1962. 10.00.
