1980, Rudolph

'Lilac Frost' (Nate Rudolph, R. 1979). Seedling# 77-18. TB, 31" (79 cm), Early bloom. Standards light lilac with deeper base; falls pale lilac; lilac beard tipped pink; ruffled. 'Crystal Dawn' X 'Chartreuse Ruffles'. Rudolph 1980.

From AIS Bulletin #236 January 1980 Introducing LILAC FROST-Sdlg. 77-18: Crystal Dawn X Chartreuse Ruffles. TB, 31" E. The beautifully formed and ruffled bloom is a lilac-pink reverse bicolor. The ruffled, closed standards are a light lilac-pink, deeper at base. The wide, ruffled, flaring falls are pale lilac with a lilac beard tipped pink. Fringed lilac styles. Three branches and terminal with 7 or more buds. Very vigorous and fertile both ways. $25.00. Rudolph.
