'Lilac Snow' ( Hazel Schmelzer, R. 1958). Sdlg. 75-H-58. TB, 40" (102 cm), Late bloom. Color Class-V1L, Clear lilac self. 'Precious Cargo' X 'Gracelle'.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: LILAC SNOW (Schm. '61) L. 40 in. Precious Cargo x Gracelle. A wide heavily ruffled and lightly laced flower of large size done in a very pale shade of lilac. Crisp and cool looking. NET 15.00.
LILAC SNOW (Schmelzer '61) A well-formed flower with lots of ruffles on wide petals, pale lilac in color, that has good substance as well as great beauty and delicacy of form. Garden habits are very fine. Ralph and Helen Lewis, “Iris from the Carolinas to Iowa and Ohio,” Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 179 (October 1965): 90.
