From AIS Bulletin #212 January 1974 Introducing LILLIAN TERRELL. TB. E to M. (Sunburst Duet x Southern Hospitality X ((Champagne Music x Morning Breeze) x Mahalo)). Blue-orchid bitone, almost an amoena, with a red-tangerine beard. Three branches plus a terminal display 7 to 9 large, well-formed blooms on a sturdy stalk. A vigorous grower and increaser and excellent parent, both pod and pollen. This near red-white-and-blue beauty is named for my beloved aunt of Wasco, California, one of the grand ladies of Irisdom. It is growing in the Roanoke gardens of Mrs. Rena Crumpler and Mrs. Mabel Stephenson. Net $25.00. Hilldale Gardens. |
