'Lording It' (Barry Blyth, R. 2008). Seedling# O306-1. TB, 40" (102 cm), VVE-RE. Standards creamy white, heavy blending of butter yellow coming half way up, fine 1/8" butter yellow filigree edge; falls rich red-burgundy to burgundy-black, heavy starburst outpouring of yellow around beard, 1 inch long yellow chevron below bright gold beard; slight sweet fragrance. Seedling# L304-1, 'Platinum Class' sibling X seedling# L285-1: (seedling# G100-A: ('Paint The Scene' x 'Dream Lord') x 'Ocelot'). Tempo Two 2009/10.

Hybridizer's Comment: Striking colour combination with the standards creamy white with a heavy blending of butter yellow at the midribs and a fine 1/8" filigree edging of butter yellow. Falls are a total contrast of rich red-burgundy to burgundy-black and with a heavy starburst outpouring of yellow around the beards and a chevron of bright gold about 1" long directly below beards. Beards are bright gold. Some show stems but mairily introduced for its stunning early garden colour and the fact that t is a super parent for soft pastels and even light blues. A very pleasing parent for early ones. Strong and reliable rebloomer for us.
