'Louise Watts' (Clarence Blocher, R. 1970). Seedling B-228. TB, 28" (71 cm), Midseason bloom. Lavender blend with heavy brown border; lemon beard. 'Sorcerer's Apprentice' X 'Sea Of Stars'. Blocher 1971. Honorable Mention 1972; Award of Merit 1976.

| From AIS Bulletin #201 April 1971 Introducing LOUISE WATTS (1971) B-228 (Sorcerer's Apprentice X Sea of Stars). $35.00. The picture of this flower on the inside front cover of this Bulletin is a freshly opened flower. After a day in the sunshine, the flower grows much larger-flares nicely, and the brown border becomes even more pronounced. The substance is remarkably heavy and the flowers are long-lasting, even under adverse weather conditions. Stalks are nicely branched with eight or nine buds. 28" tall. HC in 1969 and 1970. Blocher. |
