1983, Blyth

'Love The Sun' (Lesley Blyth, R. 1983). Seedling# PL82-1. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early midseason to midseason bloom. Standards lemon yellow; falls warm gold, 1/4" lemon yellow edge, lightly ruffled; deep gold beard. ('Latin Lover' x 'Bayberry Candle') X 'Sound Of Gold'. Tempo Two 1983/84.

From Tempo Two catalog, 1983: LOVE THE SUN (Lesley Blyth '83 Aust.) E-EM 36" Sdlg. PL82-1. From bicolours and plicatas comes this lovely bitoned gold Iris. Standards are lemon yellow, closed and ruffled. Falls are warm gold with a 1/4" edge of standard colour, lightly ruffled and flared. Beards are deeper gold and branching is four way and superb. It is a good show Iris and looks great in the garden. (Latin Lover x Bayberry Candle) x Sound of Gold. $16.00
