From Longfield Iris Farm catalog, 1925: Lycaena {Williamson, 1925) LACAENA An amoena which we consider particularly fine. The flowers are of good shape and the pale margined falls, of a deep shade of rich purple, are in clean and beautiful contrast to the white standards. Mr. Mead has referred to this Iris as superior to Rhein Nixe and equal or superior to Daphne. $1.00.
