B., (Kansas), “In Kansas, Missouri and Illinois,” AIS Bulletin No 107 No. 107, “Iris Ramblings”,October 1947: "Lynn Langford (Hall '46) is a beautiful smooth pure toned orchid pink. It has a glowing yellow throat and no veining. The beard is orange and the form and substance of the flower are both good. There are too few good iris in this lovely orchid coloring".
From Hallcroft Iris catalog, 1949: LYNN LANGFORD. H. C. 1945. H. M. 1946. A deep toned orchid pink with a golden yellow center which is smoothly blended into the orchid pink without veining. The flower is large, of good form, heavy substance and is carried on a strong 36-inch stem. It is a free bloomer and was a general favorite in our garden last season. $8.00
LYNN LANGFORD (D. Hall 1946) M. The color of this iris is most distinctive with its orchid pink tones, enlivened by the golden throat and beard.
