Journal de la Société Nationale d'Horticulture de France, 1922, Tome XXIII, p. 217.
From Treholme Gardens catalog for 1928: "Standards plumbago blue, washed yellowish-white; falls ageratum blue, throat and beard bronzy-gold. A free flowering variety, producing flowers of good size and form. On the lines of 'Afterglow' and 'Memory' but not as reliable. A pleasing pastel effect."
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1926: MADY CARRIERE (Millet) $1.00. An excellent variety which has almost exactly the same color as Afterglow. We have sometimes thought it superior to Afterglow, which has the colors seen in the western sky after the sun has disappeared. Two rhizomes at 85c each; five or more rhizomes at 75c each.
From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: MADY CARRIERE (Millet 1905) 7.9. S. pale plumbago-blue; F. argeratum-blue, shading to rich yellow at the base. A pleasing blend on the order of Afterglow that is very beautiful in mass effect. 30 inches. 75 cts. each; $2.00 for 3.
