"Majorette (Miess '53) -Another western introduction that could be rated 100% as it has everything, height, form, branching, substance and color that is different. Falls are a deep maroon with white plicata markings on the shoulders and a pure white beard. Standards are of a rosy-mauve shade that blends well with the falls. An iris one goes back to see, over and over again and each time admiring it more and more." [“Region 15, Varietal Comments,” Advertisement.
