From Marx Gardens catalog, 1957: This luscious pink blend never fails to elicit warm praise from those who see it in the garden or indoors as a cut flower. The color is uniform near mallow or amaranth pink (Maerz and Paul) and definitely a warmer tone than others in this color class. Flowers of good size and excellent substance, are produced in greatest abundance on stiff 3 foot stems. A first rate garden plant particularly effective in a two or three year old dump. The color picture on page 28 does not flatter this iris one bit. |
