'Margaret Wilson Thomas' (Donald Spoon, R. 2006). Seedling# 97-51A. TB, 34" (86 cm), Early midseason bloom and rebloom. Standards light lavender-blue (RHS 97D), darker at base (97A); style arms same, two darker (97A) midrib stripes; falls (97D) veined darker (97A) at hafts and shoulders, ruffled, flared; white beards tipped yellow in middle, deeper golden yellow in throat. 'Misty Twilight' X seedling# 93-33C: ('Lucie Andry' x 'Chaste White'). Winterberry 2009.

TB, 34-37" (86-94 cm) 7-15 bud showstalks, EM & very dependable RE (October in zone 6b, bluer fall flowers). S. light lavender-blue (RHS 970), darker at base (97A); style arms same, two darker (97A) midrib stripes; F (97D) veined darker (97A) at hafts and shoulders, ruffled, flared; showy white beards tipped yellow in middle, deeper golden yellow in throat. Very vigorous growth. Wonderful sweet fragrance. Misty Twilight X 93-33C: (Lucie Andry x Chaste White). $45. Winterberry Gardens.

• I transplanted two rhizomes Margaret Wilson Thomas in summer of 2013 in my northern VA garden and both rhizomes almost immediately sent up a rebloom stalk in September!!!

Margaret Wilson Thomas is a beautiful plant, off white with purple marks around the beard in the fall. -- ColinCampbell - 2014-05-01
