1997, Niswonger

'Marie My Love' (O. David Niswonger, R. 1996). Seedling# 52-93. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Cool white self; beards white, pale yellow at base. 'Tinted Crystal' X seedling# 54-89: ('Elvis Presley' x 'Bridal Fashion'). Cape Iris 1997. Prize winner of Moscow International TB Iris Competition 2000 (second place).

From AIS Bulletin #305 April 1997 Introducing MARIE MY LOVE (Niswonger'97) 52-93: Tinted Crystal X 54- 89: (Elvis Presley x Bridal Fashion). TB, 3611 (91 cm), M. This is a cool white with a white beard based yellow. The intent of the cross was to create a white with a green midrib with better form than Elvis. The form is there but the midrib is on the backside. It was the Best seedling in the SEMO Iris Show in 1995. EC'95. $40.00. Cape Iris.
