'Maroon Velvet' (Bob Brown, R. 1986). Seedling# 81-1. TB, 36" (91 cm), Early midseason bloom. Ruffled velvety dark red; burnished gold beard. Seedling# 766: ('Bay Rum' x (('Arabeca' x 'Gala Madrid') x 'Gala Madrid')) X ('Bay Rum' x 'Caliente'). Cottage Gardens 1986.
