From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2005: MATERIAL GIRL - TB, 48" (122 cm), Late. It is unusual for a variety as heavily laced as Material Girl to open well and increase adequately. This heavenly creation does both with ease. Blooms are large and carried on tall show stalks. Standards are clear, light yellow withy darker fine yellow veins in the upper third. Heavily substanced falls are white with an unusual, raised corduroy ribbing that is even more prominent closer to yellow-orange beards. Clear yellow crinkled lace adds that special touch. Show stalks with 3 branches and 7-8 buds is the norm. Growth is robust and foliage is tall and clean. Material Girl is an exceptional iris in all respects.
