From AIS Bulletin #197 April 1970 Introducing MEGHAN Sdlg. 66-6 (Full Dress x Rainbow Gold). TB, 32", W1Y. HC '69. EC '69. Named after our grandchild. An extremely lacy iris. The stds. are white and the front of the falls is white but the back is yellow. The laciness gives the appearance of a gold edge. It has produced some beautiful seedlings. Sale Price $15.00. Buckles Iris Garden.
From Alan Harper’s Top O’ The Ridge catalog, 1971: MEGHAN (Buckles 1970) TB 32" M. FULL DRESS X RAINBOW GOLD. HC '69 Dave Niswonger, selecting for the late Gene Buckles, says this is the best of his 1970 introductions. An opulent warm white with falls bordered gold, it carries lots of lace on a fine stalk carrying plenty of buds. $20.00
