'Melancholy Man' (Roger Nelson, R. 1994). Seedling# RN 86-37BK. TB, 35" (89 cm), Midseason bloom. Silvery violet blue (near RHS 87A) with deeper (77A) thumbprints on falls; self beards, tipped orange; pronounced sweet fragrance. 'Neil Diamond' X 'Lorilee'. Iris Country 1994.
