'Melba Hamblen' (Ben Hager, R. 1992). Seedling# T4531PchPk/DpM. TB, 38" (96 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards peach pink, blending of orchid spreading partway out from midrib; falls deep maroon, narrow light peach edge; beards bronze tangerine. Seedling# T4133OcPk/Pr: ('Piper's Flute' x 'Color Splash') X 'Adventuress'. Melrose 1992. Honorable Mention 1994.

From AIS Bulletin #285 April 1992 Introducing MELBA HAMBLEN (Hager '92) M 35". BIG flowers, very wide petals in peach pink blended with a bit of orchid. Wide, fluted falls are deep maroon-purple; tangerine beards. (See color photo in the January '92 Bulletin). $35.00. Melrose Gardens.
