1978, Nelson

'Metropolitan' (Roger Nelson, R. 1974). Seedling# RN 71-12-4. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards ruffled and lightly laced mineral violet (RHS 840) with icy blue cast; falls ruffled imperial lilac (78B/C). 'Lightning Ridge' X 'Orchid Tapestry'. Mission Bell 1978. Honorable Mention 1980.
