'Michelin' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1972). Seedling# H67-156A. TB, 32" (81 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Light red (between RHS 36C/D); beard deeper toned (37D). Seedling# H 64-53: ('Music Hall' x 'Adorable You') X Albright seedling# 11-60: (('Queen's Lace' x 'Limelight') x ('Venetian Pink' x 'Native Dancer')). Mission Bell 1973. Honorable Mention 1974.

From AIS Bulletin #208 January 1973 Introducing MICHELIN (Hamblen). 32", M-L. Satin-textured petals in light pink. Exquisite form with lavish ruffling and perfect placement of florets on "show stalks" make this a "visitor's favorite." Vigorous, floriferous. (Music Hall, Adorable You, Venetian Pink, Queen's Lace, Lime Light, Venetian Pink, Native Dancer.) HC '72. $25.00. Mission Bell.
