From AIS Bulletin #305 April 1997 Introducing MILDRED ANNE (Frederick Kerr 1997) Sdlg. 905307. TB 38" (GYPSY WOMAN X SILVERADO). This was one of the best of an excellent cross of over one hundred seedlings. At seven inches in diameter it is larger by far than any similarly colored variety of our acquaintance. The stalk has three branches, spur and terminal with a minimum of seven buds. The lightly ruffled flowers open with very pale lavender standards which soon turn white with a slight infusion of rose lavender at the base of the midribs. The semi-flaring falls are overlapping and of a beautiful lavender rose color which, in mature flowers, is slightly lighter at the edges and around the beards. The beards are white, becoming yellow in the throat. A large stock of this variety makes possible to offer it at this low price. $30.00. Rainbow Acres. |
