Mirasol. The Spanish word for sunflower seemed an appropriate name for this new clear bright yellow iris. It is pure chrome yellow, unmarred by veining and is of finer form and finish than any yellow iris we have seen. The broad petalled, well balanced flowers are nicely placed on the low branched stems which on recently divided plants were 32 inches high in our dry garden. It remains long in flower because of its many buds and both for the garden and as a show flower marks a most distinct advance.
