'Miss Comment' (James Gibson, R. 1973). Seedling# 18-9B. TB, 34" (86 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards gold, flushed lavender and tan; falls blend of light rhodamine purple to pale red-violet, golden yellow haft; golden yellow laced edge; gold beard. Seedling# 94-7E: (seedling# 46-4A x 'Belgian Lace') X seedling# 19-7AP. Gibson 1974.

From AIS Bulletin #212 January 1974 Introducing MISS COMMENT '74. M. 34". #18-9B. $25.00. This highly ruffled, fluted and laced blend is from plicata parentage for many generations. The bringing together of two separate plicata lines, represented by WILD GINGER and APRIL MELODY resulted in this lacy blend. The falls are flaring in form, deeply fluted with a tightly laced golden border. The standards are tightly held and very ruffled. They are a medium lavender and tan combination. flushed gold at the base. A golden beard matches the lace border. 6 to 8 flowers 4"X7" and 3" across and of excellent texture.
