From Mission Gardens catalog, 1963: MISSION SUNSET (Seedling No. 59-6) Light orange or golden apricot with a deep red beard. The color of the standards is enriched by a faint pink glow and the falls have a chartreuse over-lay. The flowers are broad and full, with semi-flaring falls. The light ruffling of the standards and falls give an airy atmosphere to its regal style. Mission Sunset could be called a lighter Celestial Glory. Its color carries beautifully in the garden. Branching is good and height about 38 inches. Parentage, (Techny Chimes x Fleeta) x Celestial Glory. $25.00 |
