'Modesty' (Carl C. Taylor, R. 1953). TB, 38" (97 cm). Midseason bloom. Color Class-Y4, Reverse bicolor. Standards clear yellow, Falls white; orange beard. 'White Ruffles' X seedling# V20. Tell 1954.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: MODESTY (Taylor 1954) M. 36 in. (White Ruffles x Loomis V20). A new bicolor of the pinnacle type, this has quality written all over it. Full rounded standards that dome beautifully and very wide rounded falls of flaring form. Crisp and clean in its wh ite and yellow colorings.Very fine. 6.00.
