From AIS Bulletin #169, April 1963. Introducing MORNING BREEZE (0. W. Fay) E. 35 in. $25.00 net. (Fleeta x (51-43 x May Hall) X Sib. to Esther Fay. Beautifully formed, very large, smooth blue-orchid with pink beard. Wide of haft and heavy substance. Moldovan's Gardens.
MORNING BREEZE (Fay '63) had five stalks blooming with a more modified S branching. Color slightly paler orchid than that of RIPPLING WATERS, with more white at the beard, which appears to be white tipped pinkish tangerine. Standards are somewhat darker than the falls, foliage is a rich blue green. [Roberts, Earl (1964). Taped Commentary on Fay Garden, American Iris Society Bulletin 174 (July 1964), 49.]
