From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: MOULIN ROUGE (iomp. 1954) M. VL. 37 in. (Caravan x Bandit). One of the darkest reds we have produced, this near crimson has a very velvety finish with a faint purple red sheen over the petals. So dark that from some angles it actually appear to be almost black. The flowers are extra large and beautifully formed with very broad petals. This was a top notch favorite with every garden visitor last year. H. M. 1954. 15.00. |
