James Gibson, R. 1983). Seedling# 45-OB. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards smoky mulberry and yellow orange blend; falls white, widely banded rich yellow orange. speckled smoky mulberry; orange red RHS 32A) beard; ruffled.

From AIS Bulletin #252, January 1984 Introducing MOUNTAIN MELODY- TB, 36", EM, Plicata, Sdlg. 45-0B $25.00. A dream in smoky mulberry. Stands blended rich smoky mulberry and yellow-orange, serrated, lightly laced and ruffled. The falls have a rich yellow-orange ground color, ringed and speckled smoky mulberry. Hafts are heavily and evenly marked with a blend of garnet, yellow and mulberry, giving a pleasing contrast to the rest of the flower. Attractive orange-red (32A) beards. A pllcata sure to please. Gibson Iris Gardens. |
