'Mountain Music' (Chet Tompkins, R. 1959). Seedling# 53-217. TB, 40" (102 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Violet self, violet beard. 'Fantasia' X 'Blue Violet'. Fleur de Lis 1959. Honorable Mention 1961.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: MOUNTAIN MUSIC (Tomp. '59) M. VL. 42 in. (Fantasia x Blue Violet). One of our own personal favorites. A self of a subdued but compelling shade of dusty rose violet that is lighted by a bright electric blue beard. Huge, ruffled, very broadly petaled flowers of extra fine form and heavy substance . Strong, tall, wonderfully branched stalks. H.M. 1961. 10.00 .
