The flowers are large, well shaped and of fine substance, and withstand wind and rain very well. S. violet purple, F. velvety dark purple, overlaid black, bronze yellow beard. An exceptionally fine variety and we strongly recommend it to our customers. $2.25. |

Note: 1921, Vilmorin introduced an iris 'Mrs. Edward Harding', in honor of Mrs. Harding who created a 500 fr price for irises (1). Then Mrs Harding wanted this name changed for 'Mrs. Walter Brewster' (2); listed as Mrs. Edward Hardley in 1939 checklist.
