From Perry's Hardy Plant Farm catalog, 1924: MRS. PERRY. A beautiful introduction and quite distinct from any variety in cultivation, stout stems bearing large flowers, delicate shade of silver-white faintly blotched and mottled azure blue, medium height. Stock limited. |
Mrs. Perry, just named this year, has broad incurved standards of pure white and the falls are slightly mottled blue with a yellow base. It is four feet tall and on the stalk which I examined closely I counted twenty buds and blooms, marking it a prolific bloomer as well as one of real beauty. [Mrs. Silas B. Waters, âImpressions of Irises Seen Abroad in June 1924â, A.I.S. Bulletin 14 (Jan. 1925): 62.] |
