'Native Dancer' (Orville Fay, R. 1953) Seedling# 51-32. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom . Flamingo-pink self, tangerine beard. Fay pink seedling# 48-41: (seedling# 46-1, pink from 'Pink Cameo' x 'I. pallida' x 'New Horizon') x 'Mary Randall'. Fay 1954. Honorable Mention 1955; Judges' Choice 1956; Award of Merit 1957.

From Fay catalog, 1956: Native Dancer $1500 (1954) No. 51-32--48-41 X Mary Randall. No. 48-41 is Peach Pink Seedling, Second Generation from Pink Cameo X I. Palllda. This peach pink flower with tangerine beard is carried on a strong well-branched 38-inch stem. A main bloom stem produces 12 flowers. The flowers are large, of good substance, wide clean haft, semi-flaring falls, and closed standards. The plant is large, vigorous, winter hardy, and has blue-green foliage. A medium increaser. H. M. 1955.
