From AIS Bulletin #181 April 1966. Introducing NATURES SPLENDOR (Frances Brown '66), 35" (PRETTY CAROL X CASHMERE) X (AMETHYST FLAME X MADAMOISELLE). A beautiful iris of immense size. The standards are tightly closed, wide flaring falls. The entire flower is ruffled and of beautiful form. The color is a rich glowing rose-violet, with a heavy gold beard. Large sturdy stems, with four-way branching. A supurb grower. This iris was the most raved about of all the irises in our garden during the 1965 Regional Convention. Many judges remarked that it was the best they had seen in this color class. Seven votes for an H.C. in 1965. Net $25.00. No. 61-36-B. Landsend Gardens. |
