| From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1958: NEGRURA (Luzon Crosby). Early-Midseason. 28-34 inches. (Sister to La Negraflor.) The name means blackness and it certainly is about the blackest flower one could find--the only off-color is a touch of yellow showing in the beard. Full, copiously formed flowers have excellent substance, good form and wonderful growing qualities-being a fast increaser of medium sized rhizomes that are very healthy. H.C. 1957. $10.00 |
