From the Schreiner's Iris Garden website: In the olden days we referred to this pattern as a fancy plicata and we are using this term for this striking beauty since it doesn't technically meet the definition for a luminata. The standards are dusky maroon with a tan edge. Smooth maroon falls with a black overlay with a pencil thin gold edge. Gold heart dotted overall with maroon dots to the gold beards. Wavy ruffles, good branching, and 5-6 buds. Seedling No. 14-13B2: involved pedigree including Dialect and Enter the Dragon. |
