1955, DeForest

'Night N' Day' (Fred DeForest, R. 1956). Seedling# 52-35. TB, 38" (97 cm), Late bloom season. Color Class-V3, Standards pale Hortense violet (Ridgway); falls fluorite violet, black overlay. 'Extravaganza' x seedling: ( 'Casa Morena' x 'General Patton'). Irisnoll 1955. NOTE: Name transferred from 1948 registration, not introduced.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: NIGHT 'N' DAY (DeF.'55) L. 35 in. Extrav.x (C. Morena x Gen. Patton). Stands of pale violet and falls of rich Fluorite violet with a shimmering black overlay. A beauty. 1.00.
