1995, Pinegar

'Night Squall' (Darlene Pinegar, R. 1994). Seedling# AM1-1-1C. TB, 33" (84 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards dark wine, slightly lighter midrib; style arms dark wine; falls velvety blackish wine, slightly lighter edge, white area with wine markings around beard; beards old gold, tipped dark purple; ruffled; slight sweet fragrance. Seedling# AM1-1-1: ('April Melody' x 'Spinning Wheel') X 'Capricious'. Spanish Fork 1995.

From AIS Bulletin #297 April 1995 Introducing NIGHT SQUALL TB 33" M-L. S dark wine; velvety flaring F are blackish wine, white around upper beards, wine marks. Old gold beards tipped dark purple. Ruffled. Up to 11 buds, fertile both ways. Tied for 3rd place in 112 first year plants in '94 Loomis Trial Gardens. Sdlg. AM-1-1-1 C (April Melody x Spinning Wheel X Capricious). $30.00. Spanish Fork Iris Gardens.
