Nightshade (Wmsn. No. 679, 1932). (Shalimar X –). The wide branching and flexible stems combined with the dark shade of this Iris give a unique and beautiful garden effect. Light and airy. Those who like Souv. de Mme. Gaudichau color will be especially pleased with this Iris. Height 42 inches; fine branching, wide, mid-height. Eight flowers; large; 5 inches high and 4 inches wide. S. arching cupped; nearly circular; almost Royal Purple. F. drooping; wedge-shaped; Plum Purple. Haft: white with bluish veins. Beard: short not conspicuous, Deep Chrome.
