1988, Nichols

'Northwest Passage' (Hooker Nichols, R. 1984). Seedling# 82115G. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early to late bloom. Standards blue violet with sprinkling of darker blue violet plicata markings at base and midrib; falls white, edged solid royal blue; gold beard tipped blue; ruffled. 'Odyssey' X 'Crystal Ball'. Hillcrest Iris 1988. High Commendation 1984.

From AIS Bulletin #268 January 1988 Introducing NORTHWEST PASSAGE (H. Nichols) TB 36" E-L. The spectacular neglecta-plicata seen at the Seattle Convention. Not a rapid grower. Order early. Well branched with many buds. HC 1984. (Odyssey X Crystal Ball). $35.00. Hillcrest Iris Gardens.
