'October Ale' (Schreiner, R. 1968). Seedling# W530-B. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early midseason bloom. Color Class-Y05F. Soft russet to deep brown-bronze self; light gold beard influenced tan-brown. 'Brass Accents' X seedling# P 514-1. Schreiners 1968. Honorable Mention 1969.

The coruscating, ever fugitive hues of autumn reflect the color of this precisely formed, self colored iris in various shades of soft russet and deeper bronze. Blooms are of extra fine form and have long lasting qualities. A seedling of 'Brass Accents', it has sturdy stems with 3 branches. An exceedlingly handsome brown blend. HM '69. Pictured page 14.
