From Schreiner's Gardens catalog, 2020 - Off Topic is close to being another purple amoena. But, thank goodness, as the saying goes, close is no cigar. It decidedly is NOT another purple amoena, Form and proportion are ideal. Perhaps its strongest feature is the achingly beautiful bluish-gray (akin to a watercolor) standards. Gazing at a cloud, as it were. The wide range of the color purple on the falls is stimulating. Surrounding the spray pattern we see orchid, gradually deepening to purple black on the perimeter and hafts. Off Topic features large flowers, a slight fragrance and offers vigorous growth. $55.00. |
