From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1949: This iris is a self of lovely old cranberry color, and when held to the light gives the same effect as looking through a piece of mellowed old cranberry glass. The shape of this particular iris is rather unusual as the standards and the falls are almost exactly the same size, and the manner in which the standards are arched gives the entire flower a global shape, which is most attractive. 'l'he stalks are tall and well branched, and the flowers are not crowded on the stalk. $10.00 |
